Design Manager

Darren is an experienced designer and project manager with over twenty years’ experience working in museums and galleries across East Anglia and London. He has worked on HLF and DCMS projects during this time, drawing on his experience to create innovative and engaging exhibitions and displays.

Katie Jeffs

Designer

After achieving a degree in interior and spatial design at Buckinghamshire New University and having worked for NMS since 2008, Katie’s experience ranges from substantial capital funded permanent museum display projects to modest display improvements and temporary exhibitions. She can offer exciting, innovative designs whilst considering budget restraints and project timescales.

Holly Coles

Designer

Holly began working for NMS in 2012 as a Technician in the Design and Technical team. She studied, a multi-disciplined contemporary crafts course, at Nottingham Trent University. In combination with her high level of creativity she has a broad range of museum specific skills which include mountmaking, framing and installing international exhibitions. She became 3D Designer in 2015 and has since worked on museum exhibitions and HLF projects across the 9 NMS sites.

In 2019 she obtained a V&A and Icon Conservation & Collections Care Technicians Diploma.

Natalie Mead

Specialist Services Coordinator

Natalie joined Norfolk Museums Service in 2007. She studied Fine Art at Southampton Solent University and has worked front of house in a variety of London museums before starting work at Norwich Castle Museum.

Natalie’s role in the department is to coordinate the design and technical work required for capital funded projects and temporary exhibitions across the service.

Alexander Norcross-Robinson

Lead Technician

Alexander is our lead technician. A cabinet maker by trade and with over twenty years service he has gained many and varied specialist museum skills. Picture framing, art handling, mount making or understanding conservation issues Alexander is able to think quickly and problem solve while installing major exhibitions.
